Upcycling Gerry

I should start by apologising to Gavin, as Gerry replaced him in a cruel & sudden usurp.

I should also say that Gerry is not finished.

Nothing I keep is finished.

When Gerry came to me, he needed a lot of work – sanding, varnishing, taking apart, putting back together, brackets fixing, hinges replacing (nightmare).

But then, when you finish, it’s even more satisfying.

Another joy of upcycling old furniture is finding replacements for the broken bits. Not easy.

I am very lucky that I have such a gorgeous outdoor space to get my upcycle on.

I frickin’ love doing this.
